Sepatu Tua yang Lusuh

Yang terhormat,

Mas menteri

Nadiem Makarim 


Tak adakah rasa ngilu di dalam dada mas menteri melihat sepatu tua yang lusuh ini?




Memang benar sepatu tua ini terlihat bermerek, tetapi tahukan ini hanya sepatu loak apkiran


Tahukah Mas menteri,

Sepatu ini telah dipakai bertahun-tahun lamanya oleh si empunya


Seorang bapak dengan pakaian putih lusuh dan celana hitam yang warnanya sudah tak hitam lagi karena pudar. 


Mendekati usia senja masih setia mengajari anak-anak di pelosok negeri ini membaca dan mengeja


Di saat putus pengharapan untuk mendapatkan hidup yang lebih layak. Beliau tetap semangat. Tak sekedar mengajar tetapi mendidik


Gaji di bawah lima ratus ribu sungguh tak cukup untuk makan sebulan. Apalagi untuk membeli sepatu


Terpaksa di saat pulang mengajar beliau mencari pendapatan tambahan sebagai pekerja serabutan


Tahun ini mas menteri memberikan secercah harapan untuk beliau. Program PPPK untuk memberikan harapan kehidupan yang lebih layak


Tetapi tahukah mas menteri? soal-soal yang mas menteri berikan hanya teori belaka saja. Tak sebanding dengan praktik pengabdian berpuluh-puluh tahun lamanya


Soal-soal yang membuat beliau terseok-seok ketika memegang mouse dan membuat kepalanya pening


Akhirnya, PASSING GRADE pun tak diraih. Pecahlah tangis beliau di dalam hati. Terlihat jelas ketika nilai-nilai itu terpampang di layar monitor. Beliau terdiam seribu bahasa.


Entahlah, apa yang dipikirkan. Melihatnya sayapun ikut terisak.


Memang benar beliau tak secerdas, sejenius, sekreatif mas menteri. Tetapi beliaulah yang menjadi pelita di tengah gulita buta aksara di pelosok negeri


Memang benar beliau tak pandai teknologi, tetapi tanpa teknologi beliau mampu membuat anak-anak negeri ini merangkai kata dari A hingga Z. Berhitung hal-hal dasar untuk memahami hidup


Memang benar para muridnya sebagian besar menjadi TKI dan TKW. Tapi tahukah mas menteri, bukankah mereka juga merupakan pahlawan penghasil devisa negara tercinta ini?


Beliau mempunyai andil yang besar dalam membangun negeri tercinta ini.


Sudi kiranya mas menteri memberikan keringanan untuk melihat beliau bisa menikmati masa tua dengan sepatu dan kehidupan yang layak


Tak usah diperumit


Jika tidak ada kebijakan untuk mengangkat derajat mereka, setidaknya di surga besok sepatu ini akan menjadi saksi bahwa ilmu yang beliau ajarkan sangat bermanfaat untuk keberlangsungan umat
